About Us

Bambang Subianto was widely known as former Minister of Finance of Indonesia during Presiden BJ Habibie Era. He spent his his early years as a lecturer in his alma mater, Faculty of Economics of University of Indonesia. Aside teaching he was also a trainer and a researcher at Management Instituete of Faculty of Economics and later become Director of LM FEUI.

In 1988, Bambang Subianto jumped from education field to a government agency, Ministry of Finance of Indonesia, as a team leader to supervised insurance industry. His performance was acknowledged by President BJ Habibie that led to his appointment as Minister of Finance of Indonesia. His contribution not limited to such as policy reform to privatize the former Bapepams into PT Bursa Efek Jakarta, formulation of policies leading to the Capital Market Law, establishment of PT Kliriing Deposit and Efek Indonesia securities clearing, and also lead the merger of PT Bursa Paralel and PT Bursa Efek Surabaya.

Currently he is Chairman of Arghajata, and prior to this post, he was with Ernst & Young Indonesia as senior advisor (2000-2004). He is also acts as commissioner of private enterprise as well as several state-owned enterprises.

Simon was the Managing Partner of Arghajata before his departure on 2019 due to sickness. He has more than 30 years of professional experience in management and financial consulting. Prior to co-founding Arghajata, he had held various positions including Partner & CEO of Ernst & Young Indonesia, CFO of a US-Indonesian joint venture telecom company and a Partner in KPMG specializing in energy and banking.

Simon had been involved in various professional engagements concerning auditing, accounting, and financial restructuring as well as strategy development, organizational design and performance improvement initiatives. Throughout his career, Simon had been exposed to a wide variety of industries, especially Oil and Gas, Mineral Resources, Financial Services, Telecommunication and Agroforestry.

Simon graduated from Faculty of Economics of Parahyangan Catholic University majoring in Accounting. Later, he obtained his Master of Accounting degree from Faculty of Economics of University of Indonesia.

Prior to his post as the Managing Partner of Arghajata, Iman was the Head of the Agency for National Standardization and the Chair of the National Committee for Accreditation (2002-2008). Before that he was involved with the Indonesian Government's science and technology organizations. He was the Deputy to the Minister for Research and Technology, the member of Executive Board at the National Research Council, and as IT Director of the Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology.

On the international level Iman was the Member of the Council as well as the Chairman of Council’s Committee on Developing Countries of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). He was also the Chair of ASEAN Coordinating Committee on Standard and Quality. His expertises are among others trade policy particularly on the technical barriers to trade, organizational management, supply chain management and security, and risk management. Iman graduated from the Faculty of Engineering, University of Indonesia majoring in electrical engineering
